CISB StageCats third production of the 2017-2018 school year was an absolute smash!

The musical classic “The Wizard of Oz” delighted three packed audiences with songs, dances and laughter! This show brought to life the famous story of a young girl named Dorothy in magical land of Oz. Throughout the show, she tries to get back home to Kansas with the help of new friends Tinman, Scarecrow and the Cowardly Lion. Together, these unlikely companions meet witches, jitterbugs and munchkins on their quest to meet the Great and Powerful Oz, a wizard who promises to give them those special things we all need in life –  brains, heart, courage and a home.

The StageCats brought these timeless characters, songs, and scenes to life in new and exciting ways by working tirelessly since January. Actors spent hours each week in vocal, dance and scene rehearsals, while technical and backstage crews worked collaboratively for months to ensure high production value in terms of lights, sound, projections, props, costumes and set pieces. In total, over 50 students from our school were involved in the many aspects of this production of “The Wizard of Oz”.

The students and teachers of CISB StageCats are over-the-rainbow with gratitude for the amazing support this show received from our school community. More than 1100 tickets were sold for this production. Thank you so much!
